Missing Linck Festival features brews made from the yeast found in the F. & J.A. Linck Brewery fermentation tanks -- Cincinnati's official heritage yeast strain. As part of the festival, Urban Artifact Brewing Co. is sponsoring the Missing Ingredient Homebrew Competition! Below are the rules and deets and whatnot:

Yeast is provided by Urban Artifact at no charge!

SORRY! MISSING INGRIDENT GREW SO QUICKLY THIS YEAR THAT WE ARE CURFRENTLY OUT OF HOMEBREW YEAST PACKS.

 

• You must request yeast by emailing Bret Kollmann Baker.

​

• You may request more than 1 packet of yeast. Co-pitching of a companion yeast is allowed!

​

• All entries must be submitted between May 14 – 26th, 2024. All entrees should be hand-delivered during taproom hours or shipped to Urban Artifact. 

​

       There is no entry fee.

       Three bottles per entry.

​

• Judging will occur on May 31st with results announced at the
  Missing Linck Festival at 12:30 PM on June 1st.
  
  Judging will consist of a combination of pro brewers and
  BJCP judges. While base-style/intention will be considered,
  the judges will also factor in general enjoyment, creativity, and fit with the Missing Linck yeast.
